BP Llandarcy

Many thanks to Mr  Viv Griffiths for his presentation to the Society on BP LLandarcy. Mr Giffiths , a former employee of BP now prepares DVDs on local industries. The meeting composed of an hour long documentary on the refinery which started life as Anglo-Persian oil in Iran to its slow demolition and redevelopment in more recent years. It was sobering to realise how such a familiar part of the Neath skyline has disappeared so quickly.Mr Griffiths gave an expert synopsis of the contents of the DVD and also demonstrated the many products which the refinery produced over its life . He also presented a copy of the DVD  to the Society.
