Its official, William Rhys Herbert was an American citizen

According to the Society's account of the Three Doctors of Music it was thought that though William Rhys Herbert had emigrated to the USA in 1892, he had not taken American citizenship. However, thanks to research made by one of our members we have definitive proof that this was not so. You cannot be more certain than posting his naturalisation papers. Needless to say the remaining Doctors are still firmly Welsh!!
